Mel,

I'm running X on my new 1.6N installation thanks again to your xsrc
package at caseydoodle.com. I couldn't get anything besides the
Xserver in the xc/programs/* directories to compile because they
weren't linking against libpthread.

I couldn't find an easy way to set an environment variable to cause
gcc to use the -lpthread flag (not even setting CFLAGS worked) so I
created a shell script in /usr/bin/gcc that ran "gcc -lpthread $@".
That's really lame, but it was a quick fix and everything compiled.
Now I'm enjoying a sweet X workstation with IceWM and
soon-to-be-installed aterm.

     Thanks!
