I'm pleased to say a hard reset of the machine was enough to clear the
error. I'd still like to know what caused it as I was seriously
concerned for an hour or two...

I had just swapped out the 300LX (125Mhz) CPU card for one from a 300X
(175Mhz) and I was worried I had made a woopsie (static-wise) in the
process!

I might not take this machine down for some time now... :c)
