I've heard that rumor.
A year or so ago I interviewed for a job with Compaq, at one of the
plants that used to be Digital (they referred to it as "Digital
Classic"). When I said I hacked on NetBSD/alpha, almost every person I
talked to immediately denied having anything to do with the Multia,
without my even mentioning them. So I don't think they're well-loved
there, either :)
