GCC is /usr/bin/cc (an older version, but GCC nonetheless).  NetBSD
does not use glibc.

I'm skeptical that glibc is actually required -- what glibc-specific
features does Interbase claim to require?

If you switch to NetBSD-current, you'll have a newer compiler (gcc 2.95.3).
