Anyone remeber MGR?  No...wait...that had little bitty title boxes over a 
windows top right corner, as I vaugely recall.  The BLIT (nee AT&T 5620) had 
a similarly lightweight manager called "layers".  I guess these really fall 
into the category of archeology these days.
