Hi,
I've just tried booting a couple of our Alpha's with NetBSD for the first
time and was unsuccessful. The machines are an Alphastation 200 4/166 with a
serial console and an Alphastation 255/300 with a graphics head, each with two
network cards and two scsi disks.

Using the boot floppies from the Dec 8 1.5Z snapshot on ftp.netbsd.org, in
both cases the install kernel would start find all the hardware and end with:

	[...]
md0: internal 4650K image area
Warning: can't figure what device matches "DVA 1 0 0 0 0 0 0"
root: md0a dumps on md0b
root file system type: ffs
de1: autosense failed: cable problem?

and then hang at that point, and all you could do is reset the machine.

Any suggestions for whats broken? How I can get beyond this point?

cheers
mark
