So, I am still trying to get a PC164 to find and use a SCSI controller.

Symptoms: "show config" will list a SCSI controller, but never any devices
attached to it.

Details: I have tried about five different LSI/Symbios '875 controllers,
and a Qlogic ISP-1040. In all cases, the system sees the controller, but
sees no devices attached to it. I've tried different slots, I've tried
different controllers. I'm using an internal ultra/wide drive, with an
active terminator on the cable. I've tried with or without the terminator,
with or without drive termination...

Seeking any advice as to what I may be missing.
