ok, I've got it working after setting the interface media-type to
10baseT. All other media types, e.g. autoselect, 10baseT-FDX etc. pp.
don't work (it was set to autoselect). Interface tlp0 works as expected
and nolonger generates CRC or dribbling bit errors.
The last dmesg line now reports the following:
ifmedia_match: multiple match for 0x10000023/0xfffffff
This doesn't seem to have a noticable effect on the performance.
However, I still feel abrehensive about the interrupt trigger warning
messages reported in my previous email.
