I just compiled it - and the answer is 'yes'.

While we're digressing ... I left my 3000 compiling KDE2.1 over the weekend 
to see what would happen. Small tip: don't bother. I don't know WHY it 
consumes so much CPU time even when sitting idle at the desktop, but it's 
enough to paralyse a 3000/300.

Shame, really. Konqueror would have been nice to have. Back to WindowMaker 
for me ...
