I installed NetBSD/alpha on a DEC 3000/300LX a couple of days ago, and I'm
running into a nasty problem.

Firstly, the tape/disk image in the latest snapshot locks the machine up
hard just after entering userspace (the image from 1.4.3 works just fine).

Secondly, running a special Xserver that I have locks the machine up hard
during an mmap() call. The exact same mmap() call works just fine in a
standalone program and on pmax.

Is anybody else experiencing problems like this, or should I assume a dud
machine?
