It's well known that the 3000 series systems have a faster CPU than the
LCA boxes like the Multia, and for a compute-bound user mode app like the
thing that started this thread, that's pretty much all that matters, modulo
subtle effects like page coloring.

With respect to Netscape & dynamic buffer caches, NetBSD is evolving to an
increasingly sophisticated unifed cache model, but do note that the dynamic
caches ..  even the highly evolved and complex ones like Solaris .. well,
they have serious pathological cases of their own.

But we are always interested in benchmarks and testing, and we will be
happy to examine any given test case. Thanks for the data...
