Gah! They're back!
These have happened off-and-on for ... a long time. They're not supposed
to happen. It's not fatal because the kernel corrects for it, but the
warning is indicitave of a problem.
Unfortunately, I have never been able to reproduce this on any of my Alpha
systems ... ever. Sigh.
It's probably worth filing a PR about.
