Please welcome Jason Thorpe to the port-alpha-maintainer position,
as I am happy to report that he has been coerced^W^Wvolunteered to
serve as ``co-portmaster''.

While on the subject of development, we do have a need for a small
number of alpha development machines, like about one or two. While
we have done well in this past year with respect to donated and loaned
hardware, we also have several serious developers at this point.

What's needed: a 21164 (ev5) or later general purpose development
system and another alpha SMP system. A Miata would be a good choice
for the former, hint hint.
