Hello there.

I played a bit with nntpcached on a NetBSD-1.4/alpha. Hardware is a multia133mhz
with 2 identical SCSI drives attached to it in a external case. this morning the
machine was dead and following were the last entries in the messages file:

Could someone enlighten me what exactly the ncr0:1: ERROR (a0:0) means?? Is it a
hardware problem?? (the machine was running fine since i installed it).
pid 20003 was nntpcached. "df -i" gave me the result that there were plenty of
inodes on ALL filesystems available. Or is it a kernel problem with not enough
free vnodes?

<hostname># sysctl kern.maxvnodes
kern.maxvnodes = 778

thanks,
cjm
