Hm.. yes(1) appeared in 4.0.. maybe 4.1 introduced "fsck -y" :-)

I'm mostly being silly now... but I do recall having to use that
particular construct on some system that didn't have "-y" for fsck...

...I just can't remember which system that might have been... sigh.
