Well, as a user, I did notice two days ago some updates to the alpha
specific part of the xsrc (when I sup I watch what comes in).  So I
quickly built the lot with a new kernel, dragged it over to a UDB and
gave it a try.  Having never seen X on the alpha port (because I didn't
try starting X until I'd moved onto -current) this is the first time
I actually had something almost happen - yeah!  The screen reverse
video'd and it told me (4) device not configured.  So I had planned
on monkeying around more to see what I didn't do to make it work,
assuming it will now.  Thanks!  -- Ken
