I'm back.  I never did get this DEC 3000/300X to talk out the serial port,
but I was finally able to get a video cable for it and hooked it up...
	
	The machine goes through its self test until NI .  When it gets to NI it
gets a machine check and aborts.

	Suggestions?  Or is the machine just toast?
