Tja, I can only note that I know multiple people in my direct surroundings
that use the ncr driver in FreeBSD without any trouble. This makes me believe
that there is something specific in NetBSD and/or the specific Alpha environment
that makes it less than optimal for some people.

The NCR810 in my NoName seems to work quite well with NetBSD 1.3
