To be fair to other ports: diskless operation is broken in a serious way
on the Alpha, but less seriously so on other ports. There seems to be
an Alpha-specific problem that makes it fail sooner, on other ports you
have to create some "unusual" circumstances to make it fail. Which
of course should also be fixed.
