I've been wrestling with the same problem and some poking around
with strings on SRM.EXE reveals:

V1.1    DEC     QSILVER ALPH
V3.8-3

This really makes me wonder.. Following the description of the Multia
readme file for the FW update it looks like the install is exactly doing
what is described in the readme. The V3.8-36 thingie is the part I don't
understand.

By upgrading (?) I've now the additional 'feature' that type SHOW
at the SRM prompt hangs the system after it has printed a couple of lines.
