Subject: Preliminary 1.3_ALPHA stuff available

On ftp.netbsd.org, in /pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.3_ALPHA/alpha/19971027,
I've dropped the preliminary 1.3_ALPHA stuff. This is not in the
standard distribution format and doesn't include any install tools
yet, but it's enough to drop onto a disk or into an NFS root directory
and boot up.

`netbsd' is a GENERIC kernel, `userland.tar.gz' is the full userland,
excepting the toolchain, and toolchain.tar.gz is a link to the most
recent toolchain snapshot, which is virtually identical to what's
actually going out with 1.3.

I'd appreciate any feedback on this, even if all you do is boot
the kernel. I've run this a bit on an AXPpci33 with a serial
console, and it seems to work ok.

The install boot disk is being a bit more difficult than I thought,
so that probably won't be around until the end of this week.
