I don't think that DEC has produced a real alpha 21164PC cpu
or they have started doing so lately. The limitations of this
cpu are L2 cache - look at the spec ratings! - , but the
main difference should be the fixed adress space mapping -
I think they called it that way - of the cpu. I don't think
that this should be a problem; AFAIK cgd said on this list
a while ago that netbsd-alpha doesn't use so many mmu features
supplied by CPU and SRM.
Another funny thing is the fact, that DEC has released SRM
for the 164PC and 164SX board's recently on their ftp site...
