"yes, but you may not want to know what it is."  8-)  There's no SCSI
formatting utility in NetBSD, unfortunately.  There've been a couple
hacks posted to various mailing lists (current-users, i think, is at
least one of the lists) to get around this and let people format SCSI
disks.

However, I've gotta wonder: why do you want to low-level-format a SCSI
disk?  They come preformatted, and unless your disk has lots of
media errors, or something, you probably don't wnat to format it.  If
you just want to put a file system on it, "man newfs".
