Uh, copying those files there actually even "gets rid of" that error?
I am ... surprised.  I tracked down the first half of the bug (yes,
it's a multi-part bug 8-), and I don't know how copying those fiels
would have any effect whatsoever on that message.


I hope to have the complete solution (and the binaries with the
problem fixed up for FTP 8-) by tomorrow evening.
