this is to let you folks know (en masse) that i've gotten about 6 or 8
pieces of "alpha-related" mail, that i'm going to answer soon, but
have been too busy to answer yet...  hopefully today or tomorrow.

I also hope to kick out a new set of binaries, etc., RSN.
