Okay, so it turned out the video problem was because I launched from 256
colour mode.

Now I'm getting wsconscfg complaints:

wsconscfg: WSDISPLAYIO_ADDSCREEN: Cannot allocate memory
wsconscfg: WSDISPLAYIO_ADDSCREEN: Cannot allocate memory
wsconscfg: WSDISPLAYIO_ADDSCREEN: Cannot allocate memory
wsconscfg: WSDISPLAYIO_ADDSCREEN: Cannot allocate memory

...

<date> <time> getty [192]: /dev/ttyE4: Device not configured
<date> <time> getty [xxx]: /dev/ttyE3: Device not configured
<date> <time> getty [xxx]: /dev/ttyE2: Device not configured
<date> <time> getty [xxx]: /dev/ttyE1: Device not configured

... (xxx = appropriate no.)

<date> <time> getty [187]: /dev/ttyv0: Operation not supported by device.

Anyone got a fix? I've plenty of memory. Honest. 140something or so Mb.
(I'm not at home or I'd check.

Running a kinetic if that helps any.

Regards,
Lewis
