You're welcome. I was running an ancient jdk 1.4 binary in a VM and this
was becoming really painful...

I have removed the same code from jdk15; the stock compiler was fine on
both NetBSD 4 and 5.

Howewer in this case, it was added in revision 1.15 of the Makefile by
noud4@ when he revived wip/jdk16.

Noud, is there any reason you added this code ?
