No need to ask, they already implemented that:

atlas(14):/usr/pkgsrc/wip% host pkgsrc-wip.cvs.sf.net
pkgsrc-wip.cvs.sf.net is an alias for pkgsrc-wip.cvs.sourceforge.net.
