Problem: this does not work on VAX, Alpha, amd64, BeBox, etc etc etc.
That has put a stop to my once yearly attempt to get Java going on my
machines. It is also why I like Java less and less. As I said before in
private mail, it is not like Sun is claiming "Write once, run anywhere"
but more like "run where it amuses Sun to allow you a binary".

Can you take your unconstructive comments elsewhere, leaving those of us
who would like to run a native JDK irrespective of the right or wrongs
of Sun's licensing policy to follow this thread in peace?
