I recently ported pkgsrc to VSI OpenVMS on x86_64.  Regrettably, Emacs
22 was the last upstream version to have VMS code in it, and so I made a
local emacs22 port, and it in fact, powers this message.

What prompts me to write is that Emacs 21 corresponds to a version for
which there is a de-facto standard freeware CD that contains Emacs 21,
and so might be a target.  I am also aware of a NetBSD port to VAX
hardware, so this might be in their area of interest.

Just want to point out that there are at least one or more people
swirling around these old Emacs ports.
