Completely coincidentally I looked at updating hplip, and found
that the upstream bugs with patches filed by schnoebe@ in 2012 are
still sitting there untouched.
This morning I had a look at pappl + hp-printer-app (apparently I already
did that January 2021). pappl depends on cups>2.5, as per 5 years ago,
which exists in HEAD but there are still no releases.
(pappl tries to do the right thing with respect to statfs() and
statvfs(), but because of our statfs() stub gets confused.
Should we just remove all vestiges of statfs as compile tests
think it exists, but it doesn't work, and just achieves
conftest.c:(.text.startup+0x7): warning: warning: reference to obsolete statfs(); use statvfs()
? It does more harm than good?)
Just a note from the peanut gallery,
Patrick
