pkg_add: no pkg found for 'x265>=4.2', sorry.
pkg_add: Can't install dependency x265>=4.2
pkg_add: gst-plugins1-x265-1.28.3: expected dependency x265>=4.2 still missing
pkg_add: 1 package addition failed

I also had those problems in my Acer Aspire One with the 11.0RC6 install. I had to go back to 2026Q1.

On 11.0_RC7:2026Q2 here, I found a work around path by quizzing
Gemini‑AI model and did a local build of multimedia/x265 then installed.
But the follow up `pkgin upgrade' errored out and I had to directly
specify those packages that failed to install because of x265 dependency.

A day later, `pkgin update; pkgin upgrade' installed 24 packages then
requested `pkgin upgrade' to upgrade pkgin and another 217 packages were
installed.

I assumed that something was wrong with the 2026Q2 repository and that it was just a matter of waiting until it was fixed. There was no problem using 2026Q1 or whatever version worked in the meantime. I wanted to let my old machine working after SSD premature failure!

Regards.
