Despite the above statement, "databases/db4" (4.8.30) completed the
configure phase and is presently building on -current/sparc.

If it succeeds, then packages that depend on one of db4 or db5 (mutt,
openldap-server, netatalk4, etc.) on -current (GCC14+) won't have any
issues since the default BDB_DEFAULT=db4.

(Since mutt, openldap-server, and netatalk* all claim to accept either
db4 or db5, I've been setting BDB_DEFAULT=db5 for as long as I've been
building them.  I'll revert to the default db4 for the present -current.)
