says that there will be "critical security bug fixes" for the Dovecot 
2.3 branch.

And, yes, 2.4 is a hot mess that should have been 2.5 or 3.0 and gone 
through alpha and beta releases. The state the software escaped in was 
surprisingly unprofessional.
