Rendering issues

Hi,

I just had to replace thunderbird102 (because unbuildable), and the 
mail/thunderbird build feels unusable

(flashing, beware!)

I see the flashing and the update delays in firefox to a lesser extent, 
but the font rendering is unique (except on a different machine a 
recently updated xymon installation gives me square glyphs 
<ftp://ftp.causeuse.org/pub/pkgsrc/xymon-rrdtool-pango.png>).

Does anybody else see rendering issues with -current pkgsrc?
