hi, joerg doesn't believe in gcc's ability to be sufficiently backwards compatible that this works without introducing extremely hard to diagnose bugs. he thinks you should first build something like GCC 5 and then add GCC_REQD=5 to mk.conf (Might want to add GFORTRAN_VERSION=5 PKGSRC_FORTRAN=gfortran while you are at it)
