Now, a recent development, mozilla-rootcerts is installed as a dependency of many other packages.

I must have missed the MESSAGE and would not have looked for the MESSAGE in a package installed as a dependency.

Otter browser seems to work better now; I haven't tested Netsurf or Dillo since running 'mozilla-rootcerts install" just minutes ago.
