What do you mean?
Additional kernel support is neccesary for newer oss in kernel?

On NetBSD/i386 7.1, pkgsrc firefox 52.0.1 + alsa-plugins-pulse + pulseaudio
emits audio properly (even with annoying fat spidermonkey17 binaries).
