I think pkgsrc.se has those statistics. Growth in the number of packages is remarkably linear over the years.

What is the best source of information on the growth in the number of packages in pkgsrc?  Are there data on dates of first import, for example?  Or must this be extracted from cvs somehow?  If so, what is the most efficient means of doing that?
