Basically we should patch mozilla to exit with a reasonable error message
and try to push that change upstream (even if they may have not cared
in previous attemmpts - if there have been any).
But: how do you get into a situation where you have X but not any of the
standard fonts installed? I would expect even the base system xfont.tgz plus
whatever gets installed as (indirect) dependencies for the pkg to be good
enough.
So, put diferently: two questions:
- do you do something strange to get to firefox w/o fonts?
- does firefox work if you start it without you current profile?
