omxplayer not supported in raspbian in pkgsrc

Trying to build omxplayer on raspbian using pkgsrc, due to a no of other
issues with netbsd on pi 2 (there are separate threads on this.)

I notice this:
ONLY_FOR_PLATFORM=      NetBSD-*-earm*hf

Since omxplayer is basically developed for Raspberry, which primarily uses
Linux OS I am not sure about this restriction.

What are the challenges involved in making it work on pkgsrc on Raspbian?
