glib2 weirdness

The following happend just now with pkgsrc HEAD:

===> Configuring for glib2-2.22.5
=> Modifying GNU configure scripts to avoid --recheck
=> Replacing config-guess with pkgsrc versions
=> Replacing config-sub with pkgsrc versions
=> Replacing install-sh with pkgsrc version
configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --without-libiconv-prefix, -- without-libintl-prefix
[...]
checking for libiconv_open in -liconv... no
configure: error: *** No iconv() implementation found in C library or libiconv
*** Error code 1

Stop.
make: stopped in /usr/pkgsrc/devel/glib2

is there a problem with updating pkgsrc via "cvs -q update -dP", i.e. am I missing some cvs option to actually get the latest and greatest, or is there a problem in glib2 HEAD?

Cheers
        Oskar
