Regardless of the mode configured in the camera, it always shows as
ugen (not some umass device), so mounting is not possible.

"PC-Mode":
ugen0 at uhub2 port 3
ugen0: Canon Inc. Canon Digital Camera, rev 2.00/0.01, addr 4

PTP-Mode:
ugen0 at uhub2 port 3
ugen0: Canon Inc. Canon Digital Camera, rev 2.00/0.02, addr 4

And up to uhub2:
uhci0 at pci0 dev 7 function 2: vendor 0x1106 product 0x3038 (rev. 0x16)
uhci0: interrupting at irq 5

usb0 at uhci0: USB revision 1.0

uhub0 at usb0: vendor 0x1106 UHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1
uhub0: 2 ports with 2 removable, self powered
[...]
uhub2 at uhub0 port 2: NEC Corporation USB2.0 Hub Controller, class
9/0, rev 2.00/1.00, addr 3
uhub2: 4 ports with 4 removable, self powered

I seem to have some progress when using PTP mode: gphoto2 can scan the
camera. Unfortunately it the medium is quite full the scanning takes
(nearly) forever.
