Yes, then PLIST of devel/boost-libs was completely changed when updated to 1.40.
Probably, need to recursive bump to rebuild packages depending on boost-libs.

Original poster wants to use old source with newer tree -- aka something
sunpported.

I don't assumed so, just gnash "binary" package require old boost-libs binary 
package.

I built gnash with boost-libs on current pkgsrc tree, no error.
So, I think the solution is "rebuild gnash" and revbump force it.
