Hello,

since I use modular Xorg, I have some problems with Windowmaker.

when I switch to a workspace with overlapping windows, the system
doesn't redraw the windows properly.

For example, I see emacs, which has the focus and in front of it half a
title bar and parts of the borders of an xterm. Or after starting an
application from the root menu, the menu doesn't disappear
completely. Workspace and application switching also seem to be slower
than normal.

This does not happen with other window managers. It also seems to depend on the applications: when a workspace only contains xterms, the windows
are redrawn correctly.

System is NetBSD 5.

Does anyone know, what this means? Is it possible, that Windowmaker
needs some Xorg modules, which are not installed?

Try to disable the Composite and DAMAGE extensions.

have fun
Michael
