program name and matching man page

Hi,

I am looking at a package where the program is called "microdc2" (the
successor to "microdc") and its man page is called "microdc.1".
As a user, I would have expected it to be called "microdc2.1".

I would like to rename the man page or at least add a link (soft? hard?)
for microdc2.1.
