Patches are a bit messy (patches of patches) - attached is a new
Makefile and a new patch-aa. The new patch-aa makes configure respect a
--without-oss argument and the new Makefile adds an oss option which when
*not* set adds --without-oss to CONFIGURE_ARGS.
