Hey all,

It has cost me some of my sanity, but I believe that I have libpurple
(the IM client backend) working, and the Gtk client frontend (pidgin)
working properly. The console client (finch) does not build due to some
curses problems.

I believe that I have done the most of the work. Could someone very
well versed in pkgsrc-fu please take a look at it, and if its quality is
satisfactory, import it into pkgsrc?

My packages can be found here:
http://user.it.uu.se/~jada3673/pidgin-2.0.1.tar

   Unarchive in pkgsrc/chat.

FWIW, I'm using pidgin on NetBSD/amd64 3.1, and it's working great as
far as I can tell.
