Hello all,

I have got a pidgin package working to the point where it can be
installed. There are some messages during installation which make it
look like there are some things left to do, and the PLIST file is not
generated yet.

The current contents of my chat/pidgin directory can be found here:

   http://user.it.uu.se/~jada3673/chat_pidgin-2.0.1.tar.bz2

Anyone up for ironing out the finishing touches and adding it to pkgsrc?

I have some questions, though. Pidgin is actually a frontend to the
IM backend libpurple. The package also contains a text mode client
called "Finch". The configuration script allows users to chose if the
gtk- and/or the console-client should be built.

Does it make sense to make it which frontend to build configurable by
the options framework?
