Actually, that prompted a closer look at the pkgtools directory
and we seem to have an rc.subr package already set up that installs
these. I wonder if anyone else agrees with me that installing
that rc.subr package would ideally be part of the pkgsrc bootstrap
process for Darwin-*-* Interix-*-* Linux-*-* SunOS-*-*.
In any case, the pkgtools/rc.subr seems to be the package intended
for this case.
I'm also a little unclear on the relationship between pkgsrc and
pkgsrc-wip if anyone feels generous enough with their time to
give me some clearer clues than the ones I've found online.
